dc.description | This is the one of the oldest traditional Sambalpuri designs known as “” BHARATRATANA” designed by late Shilpiguru Padma Shree Kunjbihari Meher. In 1972 for this saree, he got national award. The saree is so named as because according to judges who gave award for the saree said that the saree pottery the culture and tradition of India in a very eloquent way and treat it as a jewel of India. The saree design displays flower, forest, river, deer picture along with lotus flower and two swans swimming in the river. It also contains Ashok stambha that is the symbol of pride and victory. It takes a long time to produce a single saree. | |
